Barcelona Airport Transfer to Sitges

There are two means of public transport to Sitges from Barcelona Airport. They are the MonBus and the RENFE train (includes a change of train at Barcelona Sants rail station)

Which one you take will depend on your flight details because the MonBus service only runs approximately every 2 hours

The MonBus service.

The MonBus service runs from Barcelona airport to the following stations and includes the popular destination of Sitges.

Barcelona City Centre > Bellvitge >Barcelona Airport > Ribes > Sitges > Rocamar > Roquetes > Villanova> Cubelles> Cunit > Segur > Calafell > El Vendrell

El Vendrell > Calafell > Segur > Cunit > Cubelles > VillaNova > Roquetes > Rocamar > Sitges > Ribes >Barcelona Airport >Bellvitge > Barcelona City Centre

The stops are in order of direction but remember that the MonBus runs in both directions from the airport so make sure you get the bus that is going in the direction you want!

A suggestion -- you might want to warn people that at least on Friday afternoon, the MonBus to Sitges from the airport can be standing room only. Two of us travelling at different times last Friday encountered this. It wasn't too bad, but it could surprise people.

Ticket Price from Barcelona Airport to Sitges

The ticket to Barcelona Airport to Sitges are purchased on the bus (cannot be purchased in advance) and cost 2.85 euros for adults and children. Children below the age of 4 years travel free of charge.

MonBus : Timetable From the Airport

Mon Fri, departs hourly between 07:40 and 23:40;
Sat, every 2 hours between 08:40 to 22:40;
Sun and holidays, every 3 hours between 09:40 - 21:40.

To check operating hours of the MonBus you can call their information line.
If you don't speak Spanish I recommend that you call the Barcelona tourist information office in the airport to check exact departure times for the MonBus. The tourist information office will have an English Speaking attendant.

Barcelona Airport Transfer to Girona

There are two options these are the RENFE train or the Alsa Bus service.

RENFE Train

To get to Girona from Barcelona Airport you have to first catch the RENFE train that leaves from the airport and then change at Barcelona Sants station. From Barcelona Sants station you need to catch the train headed towards Figueres and then get off at Girona which is 2 stops before. Remember if you are going to Girona Airport you will then have to catch a bus from Girona centre or take a taxi to the airport. Ensure to allow for this time which is approximately 30mins.

Bus Service "Alsa"

This bus service leaves from outside Terminal B and Terminal C of Barcelona Airport and will take you to Girona or Figueres. Transport time to Girona is approximately 1.5 hours. Ticket price is approximately 18.65 Euros for an adult single. Please call the telephone numbers below for further information.

Barcelona Airport Transfer to Blanes

First you need to catch the RENFE train from the airport to Barcelona Sants station.

Timetable for the RENFE train from Airport to Barcelona Sants

and then change at Sants for the train to Blanes.

At the time of writing I could not find the timetable information on the RENFE website for the train to Blanes. The train line that you need is Barcelona - Mataro - Macanet de la Selva. If you need to know the exact timetables then I suggest you call RENFE (the telephone number is on their web site) and ask one of their attendants. The trains run every 30 mins from Barcelona.

Barcelona Airport to Reus

To go to Reus from Barcelona airport you have a few options RENFE trains or Bus services.

RENFE trains: First you have to go to Barcelona Sants and then change for the train to Reus.

Bus Service: Alsa to Reus

The approximate travel time from Barcelona Airport to Reus is 1.5 hours. Price of single adult ticket is approxiamtly 13 Euros. This is the only information I was able to obtain. To find more information I suggest you use the Alsa contact details below:

To find the timetable from Barcelona Sants to Salou you first have to click on link at the end of this paragraph and then click on the Make an Enquiry button on the RENFE site. You then select your destination (Salou) from the list - I don't know why RENFE have set up their web site like that. It's a little confusing!
