Transfer to Costa Brava from Barcelona Airport by Train
There are no direct trains from Barcelona Airport to the Costa Brava area. Therefore, it is necessary to take a train into the centre of Barcelona to head out towards the North of Catalunya.
Take the Barcelona Airport Train - The C2 to Estacio Sants. If you are arriving into Terminal 1 (T1) you will not be able to walk straight to the train station, as it is 4km away. You will need to take a shuttle bus from outside the terminal.
At Estacio Sants you will need to change. From Estacio Sants, there are numerous trains leaving to various parts of the Costa Brava. For many of the smaller towns, such as Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar, it is necessary to catch a train to Blanes - from Blanes it is necessary to catch a bus.

Transfer to Costa Brava from Barcelona Airport by Coach

There is no coach directly from Barcelona Airport to Costa Brava. You will have to go into the centre of Barcelona to catch a coach - coaches only run from Barcelona Nord bus station.
If you are coming from the airport, there is no direct route from the airport to Barcelona Nord. A taxi will cost around €25.00 and take approximately 25 minutes from Terminal 2 (T2). From Terminal 1 (T1) it will cost around €30.00 and take approximately 30 minutes.
It is worth checking the various routes that the buses can take. Some buses stop at far more stations than others. For example, there is a bus that stops only at Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar. Whereas the bus to Blanes stops at numerous places along the way.

Transfer to Costa Brava from Barcelona Airport by Bus
There is no direct bus from Barcelona Airport to Costa Brava. It is necessary to head towards the city centre to take either the train from Estacio Sants (Barcelona Sants) or the coach from Barcelona Nord Bus station.
To travel to Barcelona sants the easiest way would be by RENFE train from the airport which has a stop at Estacio Sants (Barcelona Sants) however if you wish to take the bus you will need to make a few changes. You will need to take the Aerobus Barcelona Airport Express Bus which runs from both T1 and T2. The Aerobus has a stop at Plaça Espanya and you would need to get off at this stop. From Plaça Espanya you can then take the metro green line to Estacio Sants. Once at Estacio sants you could then take the train to the Costa Brava.
If you did not wish to take the Aerobus from Barcelona Airport to Plaça Espanya then both the TMB Airport Bus No.46 and the Airport Nightbus N17 also go to Plaça Espanya from where you would need to take the metro as explained above to go to Estacio Sants.
Transfer to Costa Brava from Barcelona Airport by Taxi
The transfer option you choose to the Costa Brava from Barcelona airport all depends on which area of the Costa Brava you wish to travel to. The coast of the Costa Brava is long and the coastal roads are likely to be winding. If you are interested in taking a taxi to your final destination it is best to call ahead to see what price they can estimate.
