This page covers the locations of the bus stops, operating hours and running times of the free shuttle bus service between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
If you are looking for the shuttle bus service between the airport and the city centre please see the Related Pages below for the Aerobus express bus service.
Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2) at Barcelona Airport are 4km apart. Therefore, if you need to go from one terminal to the other you will not be able to walk. Barcelona Airport provides free shuttle buses that run between the two terminals. The buses are green and so you should be able to distinguish them from the other buses outside the airport.
The shuttle bus leaves from three different places. If you wish to catch the shuttle bus from T2 to T1 you will find the bus stop underneath the bridge outside T2B. However, if you are arriving into Barcelona Airport via train, you can catch a shuttle bus from directly outside on alighting from the train, head down the platform and turn left at the end - exiting the building to the shuttle bus stop outside.
If you wish to catch the shuttle bus from T1 to T2 you will find the bus stop directly outside T1.
Alternatively, if you are catching a connecting flight, there are free shuttle buses that are available airside i.e. without having to enter the terminal building. You should check with your airline as to whether one of these will coincide with your flight.
The main shuttle buses from outside both terminals T1 and T2 run every 6 - 7 minutes, 24 hours per day.
The shuttle buses from outside the RENFE train station run less frequently - one every 30 minutes to coincide with the incoming train from the city centre.
The shuttle bus journey lasts 10 - 15 minutes.
