If you wish to transfer from Barcelona Airport to the city centre during the night you can catch the one of the Night buses N17 (T1) or N16 (T2A, T2B, and T2C) operated by MOHN.

N17 goes to Terminal 1 while N16 goes to Terminal 2 A, B or C.

The advantage of the Aerobus over the regular TMB bus is that it runs on a more regular basis, offers more luggage space and stops at fewer places on the way into Barcelona therefore reducing transfer times to and from the airport. However, the cost of the journey on the TMB or Night Bus are considerably cheaper than the Aerobus - a single journey costs €2.00, compared to €5.75 on the Aerobus. The N17 / N16 Night Buses runs from Plaça Catalunya, to Barcelona Airport.

Operating Times From Plaça Catalunya (N17 bus):
The first bus leaves at 23:00 and the last at 05:00.

Operating Times From Barcelona Airport (N17 bus):
The first bus leaves at 21:55  and the last bus leaves at 04:45.

Buses run every 20 minutes - times may change so it is best to check the official website for the exact times.

Single Journey: €2.00 (purchased on the bus)
T10: €9.80 (valid for ten journeys on Barcelona buses and metro). The T10 ticket is not available to purchase on the bus. At Barcelona airport you can buy them either at the airport tobacco shops or at the entrance to the RENFE train station at the airport. In Barcelona city centre they can also be bought at Metro stops.

Disabled access on N17 / N16 Night Buses

The Airport nightbuses are fully accessible to wheelchair and scooter users. There is a ramp onto the bus and allocated space on the bus for wheelchairs and scooters.

Luggage space on the bus

The N17 / N16 Nightbuses only provides the same space as with all other city centre buses. There is no overhead or luggage compartment space. This may cause difficulties if you are travelling with more than just hand luggage.

If you are travelling during the crossover period between the running times of the Number 46 TMB Airport Day Bus and the Airport Nightbus N17, it is important to remember that the Number 46 TMB Bus does not travel to and from Plaça Catalunya. Therefore, if you are not sure which bus you will be catching it may be a safer option to head straight to the stop at Plaça Espanya where both buses stop.

The Barcelona airport Night Bus N17 offers you a low-cost and convenient means of travel to the airport from Barcelona city centre during the night when the trains have stopped running. Be sure to factor in enough time for possible road works or delays and you should be fine.
