Beach Barceloneta (Photo 12 of 18)
Here you can see the twin towers at Port Olimpic and the Peix (Golden Fish) By Frank Gehry. The fish has caused a lot of controversy in the World of architecture and when you visit it up close you'll see why.
Many an architect friend of mine have informed me that a building should give the viewer a feeling of integrity and wholeness and radiate a positive feeling to the viewer. The Peix appears to do that from the distance, but when you arrive at the fish and look up you find that it is made of nothing more than woven copper braid- the sculpture is totally hollow on the inside and for many people is a little disappointing. It all depends on your point of view, you need to see it for yourself to make up your own mind.
