Casa Batlló (Photo 6 of 9)
A closer shot of the façade. Gaudí was influenced by sea elements in the creation of this house, and here you can see the coral-coloured tiles that adorn the façade.
If you take the tour inside Casa Batlló you'll see the inner courtyard that has more evidence of the sea theme.
The inside quarters of Casa Batlló are worth a visit. You will see how Gaudí paid attention to every detail in the building of this house. There is an inner court yard that runs through the middle of the house and windows provide natural light even to the most interior rooms. Gaudí also reduced the size of the windows the closer they were to the top of the building and in this way insured uniform natural light to each room.
