Introduction
The Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona Conference Centre is located in Barcelona's Forum area. The site sits at the end of the long beach, in Diagonal Mar and offers views of the sea. The building sits adjacent to the famous blue building designed by architects Herzog and Meuron.
The nearest Metro is El Maresme Fórum on the (Yellow Line, L4) and is only 5 minutes walk from the metro stop.

How to get to the CCIB conference centre from Barcelona Airport
There are 3 main ways to get to the conference centre from Barcelona Airport
You catch the Aerobus outside of any of the Airports 2 terminals and get off at Plaza Catalunya. From Plaza Catalunya it is necessary to take the Metro - catch the red line to Urquinaona and then the yellow line to El Maresme Fórum. Travel time approx 1 hour. Price of Aerobus €5.30. €2.00 for Metro ticket. Total €6.75

2) RENFE Train and Metro
Catch the RENFE Train from the airport to Passeig de Gracia and then change at Passeig de Gracia for the metro (Subway) to El Maresme Fórum. They are both on the yellow line.
Travel time Approx 40 minutes Price €3.60 for RENFE ticket and
€2.00 for Metro Ticket Total €4.60.

3) Taxi
There is a large taxi rank service directly outside the airport. The price to the city centre is around €22.00 plus a small supplement for each suitcase that you have. Travel time approx 25 minutes .

Attractions Close to the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona Conference Centre
The Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona Conference Centre is situated in the Diagonal Mar area of Barcelona. The major bonus to this location is the close proximity to one of the beach areas in Barcelona.

The Centre is also located directly across the road from the Diagonal Mar shopping centre. This centre has a plethora of shops and restaurants.
The Forum area itself is often the site of recreational events. During the La Mercé Festival in September, concerts and other free activities take place at the Forum. It is also the home of the Primavera and Summercase music festivals.
If you wish to head into the heart of Barcelona's city centre it is best to catch the Metro from El Maresme Fórum. It will take about 10 - 15 minutes to get to the city centre.
