The hotel itself is simple but appealing. Its lobby area is dominated by the breakfast area that is next to the front desk. This is made up of high tables and stools that are sleek and black and decorated with bright orange floral displays. The area is light, with a façade made up largely of windows, ensuring that sun floods into the building.
The hotel does not have a pool or a gym.
In the same area there is also a small bar.
Room service is not available. However, hotel staff will order a pizza from Telepizza for customers, which will be delivered to the hotel.
No pets are allowed in the hotel.
There are no meetings room in the hotel. However, there is Wi-Fi for all customers throughout the hotel.
There is one room in the hotel with disabled access. It is right next to the reception on the ground floor. It has special widened doors and a bath and toilet with rails. There are lifts to all floors.
There are a total of 49 rooms in the hotel, over 4 floors. All of the rooms are either twins or doubles. However, on request a further bed can be added to the room. This is free of charge but is only for children - it measures 180cm by 80cm.
There are 20 rooms that face Rambla del Raval. Two of these have balconies. The windows all have double-glazing, however the street is popular for people who are going out in the evening so those who are hoping for a really quiet night's sleep should ask for an interior room.
Each room offers air conditioning, a television, a telephone, a mini-bar and a safe.
The hotel is based in Raval's centre. There are many opportunities for affordable eating and drinking in the area. Pollo Rico on Calle Sant Pau is well known amongst locals who are in need of a big feed when their pockets are light. It serves meats with rice and salad and there is an upstairs seating area as an alternative to a take-away option.
One of the popular bars in the area is Iposa, behind the Boqueria food market. It is small with low ceilings and wooden stools. In evenings it is filled with music and an enjoyable balance of youngsters and old regulars.

Close to Rambla del Raval you will also find the square that is home to the CCCB and MACBA. Alongside the beautifully designed modern buildings you will have the opportunity to sit in the square, enjoy the sunshine and watch the numerous skateboarders who flock to the area to practice their moves.
The hotel is within ten minutes walk of the Ramblas, where you will be at the centre of many of Barcelona's most popular tourist attractions. It is also where you will find most necessary amenities such as internet cafés, banks, pharmacies and supermarkets.

Minibus shared transfer (advanced reservation required)
A shared minibus transfer option is cheaper than the private transfer. You would need to make your way to designated meeting point at the airport.
Private transfer (advanced reservation required)
With a private transfer service the driver will be waiting for you at your arrivals gate. He will have a board or a sign with your name on it so that you can easily identify him. The driver will help you with your bags to the vehicle and then drive you to your hotel.
Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around €25.00 - €30.00 .
Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gràcia in 25 minutes. You can either use the T10 transport ticket from the airport (T10 costs €9.95 for 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport) or you can buy a single fare ticket for €4.10 . You then change at Passeig de Gràcia onto the Green Line metro and travel two stops to Liceu. Your hotel is then 10 minutes walk from the metro.
Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus ' to Plaça de Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. From here, the hotel is 10 minutes in a taxi and will cost about €8.00 - €10.00. Alternatively, you can catch the metro from Catalunya to Liceu, just one stop on the Green Line, from where Abba Ramblas Hotel is a 10 minute walk.
Abba Ramblas hotel will appeal to those in search of affordable yet comfortable accommodation at the heart of Raval. Not as close to the Ramblas as its name may suggest, visitors to Raval may find that the area provides sufficient attractions of its own.
