Abba Sants Hotel Barcelona
Right next to the Sants Metro stop is the large but welcoming Abba
Sants Hotel Barcelona. The staff are friendly and professional and
whilst it is a smart 4 star hotel the atmosphere is relaxed and
casual.
The hotel is located near to the business district of Les
Corts, and also very close to Barcelona Sants or Sants Estacio as
it’s known by the locals, one of Barcelona’s main train
stations.
The hotel was opened in 2000 and offers comfortable, contemporary
accommodation for any sort of visitor.
 Hotel Facilities
The Abba Sants hotel has a notable list of facilities. The hotel
has its own parking. The restaurant is called Amalur and offers
something a little bit different - Basque cuisine. You will get
a free daily newspaper of your choice, and if you’re an early
bird you could also take advantage of the courtesy coffee before
07:00. There is an ironing and laundry service and a currency exchange.
The hotel will also help you to hire a car for a discount price.
The cocktail bar at the front of the hotel looked very popular when
I went to visit in the early evening, and there are non-smoking
areas. Wi-Fi is also available throughout the hotel.
Business Facilities
There are 6 meeting rooms in the Abba Sants hotel, which can be
adapted into 9 different combinations by mean means of partition
walls. There are also extras you can hire: audiovisual equipment,
a secretarial service, and extra security.
Rooms
The rooms have been designed with relaxation in mind, although
there are desks should you need to work. There are 140 rooms in
total which include 26 executive rooms which have the added bonus
of a hydro massage bath for after those long working days. There
are 19 rooms for non-smokers and 4 designed for the disabled. The
rooms all have satellite TV with canal +, a safe, trouser press,
minibar and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The views from the back
rooms of the hotel which are onto a park are marginally better than
those out the front onto the road. However the rooms facing the
front of the hotel get most of the afternoon sunshine.
 Hotel Location and Facilities
The Abba Sants hotel is situated within easy reach of the Les Corts
financial district, the Barcelona Sants station and picturesque
Placa Espanya where there is the Fira where many differing events
take place through the year. There is an area of greenery behind
the hotel, although it isn’t that clean. 2 minutes down the
road if you turn left out of the hotel there is an internet café.
There are several cash points a few minutes walk away as well. The
Metro stop Sants Estacio is on the doorstep and the metro goes straight
to Las Ramblas in 10 minutes.
How to travel from the airport to the hotel
Via Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about
25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and
luggage.
Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every
half an hour and will take you to Barcelona Sants (Estacio de Sants) , in about 25 mins and costs 2.60 Euros for a single ticket. The
hotel is about 5 mins walk from the station
Via Bus You could take the Aerobus cost 4.05 Euros
from the Airport and get off at Placa Espanya. From here catch the
green line metro to Barcelona Sants (Estacio de Sants). From Barcelona
Sants the hotel is a 5 minute walk.

The Abba Sants hotel offers you a good location and friendly atmosphere
which really makes this hotel special. When I went there were a
good mix of business people and tourists who were enjoying a relaxing
cocktail.
