Alexandra Hotel Barcelona
The Alexandra Hotel Barcelona is a beautiful 4 Star Hotel that has the prime location of being sandwiched right between Barcelona’s famous, wallet-draining Passeig de Gracia which is where you will find many a designer emporium and a couple of Gaudi´s masterpieces as well. Rambla de Catalunya which is a wide leafy avenue full of terrace cafes and more realistically priced shops.
Hotel Facilities
The Alexandra hotel restaurant is called L´Altell and has a set menu of 22 euros for lunch. There is parking with direct access into the hotel, and a daily laundry and dry-cleaning service. The hotel is monitored by CCTV and there is Wi-Fi throughout. Just above the reception there is also a pleasant and sunny lounge area where you can read the papers.
Business Facilities
The Alexandra Hotel Barcelona offers you 3 new, modern meeting rooms which have been designed with light and comfort in mind. The largest of the 3 rooms is the Toscano which measures 120 metres squared and can hold up to 100 people, this room costs between 400-500 euros for the whole day. As the rooms are a new addition they are fully modern and equipped with the latest in technology, as well as being air-conditioned and sound-proofed.
Rooms
The rooms are simply decorated and stylish. All rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV with Canal +, a direct dial telephone, a minibar and a safe. Wi-Fi is available all over the hotel. There are 3 levels of room, standard to superior and then also suites and junior suites. The differences between the levels of rooms lies mainly in the size. Though in the Deluxe rooms there is a plasma screen TV and a hydromassage bathtub, and the Superior rooms have all this and parquet flooring and a HIFI.
 Hotel Location and Facilities
The Alexandra hotel Barcelona enjoys a privileged location in a very up-market area of Barcelona. All the shops and cafes you need are at your finger tips when you stay at the Alexandra. Not to mention the works of art and architecture you only have to stroll 2  minutes to see some of the best Barcelona has to offer.
There are many banks both on Passeig de Gracia and Rambla de Catalunya, and there is a pharmacy right opposite the hotel. Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya are a 5 minute walk, so it is unlikely you will need the metro which is close by on Passeig de Gracia.
How to travel from the airport to the hotel
Via Taxi A taxi from the airport will take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.
Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia Station in about 25 mins and costs 2.60 Euros for a single ticket. You then have a short 5 minute walk from the train station.
Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs 4.05 Euros. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you need to take the Green line metro to Passeig de Gracia. The hotel is 5 minute walk from the station.
