Hotel Arc La Rambla is a clean and bright space located close to the bottom of the Ramblas. Its lobby area is spacious and appears to have been renovated reasonably recently. Its off-season rates are generous for a 2 star hotel with such a central location for tourists.

La Ramblas is Barcelona’s most well-known street and it has a magnetic attraction for tourists from all over the world. Those who choose to stay at Hotel Arc La Rambla can feel assured that they will be at the hub of Barcelona’s tourist activity. However, this is a position that may not appeal to all. The Ramblas is perfect evidence that Barcelona is a city that never sleeps. If this is not the pace of holiday that you are looking for, it may be worth aiming for a hotel in a quieter part of town.

The entire hotel is non-smoking. Check-in time at the hotel is 14:00 and check-out time is 12:00.

Hotel Location and Facilities:

Hotel Arc La Rambla is in the privileged position of being located both on the Ramblas and close to Barcelona’s port area. The port area provides opportunities to view the many yachts moored in its marina, take a walk along the wooden pier and visit the shops and restaurants in the Maremagnum commercial centre. This area is very popular amongst tourist, which is reflected in prices in restaurants and shops. However, it is a great place to take a picnic and sit at the water’s edge.

Colon Monument

The hotel is also located close to Monument a Colon. This is a famous Barcelona landmark and is a great marker to find your back to the bottom of the Ramblas if you find yourself lost in the city!

The hotel is positioned close to the bottom of the Ramblas. Here, aside from all of the tourist attractions, it will also be possible to find many necessary amenities. These include banks, cash machines, internet cafés, pharmacies and a large supermarket.

Hotel Arc La Rambla backs onto the area of Raval. This barrio makes up part of Barcelona’s old town and is less discovered by tourists than the Gothic Quarter. It is well worth exploring. Two important modern art museums- the MACBA and CCCB are located in this area. The CCCB’s terrace restaurant offers a great Menu del Dia – a three course lunch plus bread and wine for less than 12 euros.

How to Travel from the Airport to the Hotel:

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 – 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and
will take you to Passeig de Gracia in 25 minutes. You can either use the
T10 transport ticket from the airport (T10 costs 7.70 euros for 10
separate journeys on Barcelona public transport) or you can buy a single
fare ticket for 2.80 euros. You then change at Passeig de Gracia onto
the Green Line metro and travel three stops to Drassanes. Your hotel is
then a few minutes walk from the metro.

Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus ' to Plaza de Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10- 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. The hotel is 15 minutes walk from Plaza de Catalunya.
