The B Hotel Barcelona is another stylish, understated hotel from the group that gave Barcelona the Jazz Hotel. A design-conscious gem which looks right over the beautiful Placa Espanya. The hotel is very new, it was only opened in April 2005 and from the minute the thick wooden entrance door slides open the very calm and modern space welcomes you in.
Hotel Facilities
The lobby/ reception area is a huge open-plan space which incorporates a bar and neutral, modern furnishings. Here you can also get some snacks in the day. The B hotel has its own parking and there is a laundry service. The swimming pool is located outside on the sun terrace which also has great views over Placa Espanya and up Montjuic. Here you will also find a small gymnasium. There is disabled access at the B Hotel.
Business Facilities
The business centre has a computer with internet access for the guests, as well as a printer and copier. There are 2 meeting rooms which both are fully equipped with audiovisual technology and thus can be changed in shape and size with the use of partition walls. When put together to make one large room there is a maximum capacity of 90 people.
Rooms
The rooms at the front of the hotel have the benefit of a great view over the Placa and sunlight for most of the day. The 84 rooms have all been soundproofed and are modern and minimalistic. All the rooms feature air-conditioning, TV with satellite and Canal +, Wi-Fi, a minibar and a safe.
Hotel Location and Facilities
The B hotel Barcelona is right next to the old bull-fighting ring in Placa Espanya, which means it is perfectly located for exploring Montjuic, watching the Magic Fountain and enjoying some of the museums in the area,
like the Caixa Forum. There is also a cash point just below the Catalonia Plaza Hotel on Placa Espanya, and if you need a pharmacy then your best bet would be to stroll up Calle Tarragona just next to this hotel. The metro stop is on the Placa and is a few stops from the centre of the city. Otherwise you could walk the length of Gran Via and get to the center of the city in about 25 minutes.
