Barceló Sants Hotel is located in the Barcelona Sants train station – literally. Its entrances sit alongside entrances to the station and in the lobby you can feel trains rumble beneath your feet.

The hotel’s sign can be sign from miles around, above the sign for the train station.

The lobby area is extremely large and with a decidedly pink carpet. At its centre there is a water feature – a marble ball with water flowing down its sides. The lighting in the area is bright and there is a hustle bustle of customers. A long reception desk sits at the left hand side of the lobby – a television screen above the lobby desk displays train times. On the right there is a bar area with cream round-backed leather couches around glass coffee tables. Large windows at the front of the reception overlook the train station’s car park.

This is a hotel for those who require a very close proximity to the train station. With 20 meeting rooms it is likely to be popular amongst businesses. Tourists may find the hotel atmosphere too business-based and may wish to be located closer to the very centre of the city.

There is no pool in the hotel. There is a sauna and body building room. There is also a sun bed.

There is a restaurant serving all meals. Buffet breakfast is served all week. On Sundays a traditional Catalan buffet is served. Food is also changed seasonally, with seasons such as the ‘Cod Season’ and the ‘Truffle Season’.

The hotel is located a five minute walk from the Miro park – Parc Joan Miro. During your stay this may well be the only public place where you will find relaxation and quiet in this part of the city. The park contains Miro’s famous statue, ‘Woman with a Bird’. It also contains a modern building with sandy marble walls housing a library.

Many business people to the city are likely to require close proximity to the Fira Barcelona – Barcelona’s large conference and convention centre. This is within 10 minutes walking distance of the hotel.

How to Travel from the Airport to the Hotel:

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 – 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Estacio Sants in 25 minutes. You can either use the T10 transport ticket from the airport (T10 costs 7.70 euros for 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport) or you can buy a single fare ticket for 2.80 euros. The hotel is located within Estacio Sants.

Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus' to Plaza Espanya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. A single will cost 4.25 euros. From Plaza Espanya take the Green Line on the metro to Estacio Sants. The hotel is located within Estacio Sants.
