Barceló Sants Hotel is located in the Barcelona Sants train station - literally. Its entrances sit alongside entrances to the station and in the lobby you can feel trains rumble beneath your feet.
The hotel's sign can be sign from miles around, above the sign for the train station.
The lobby area is extremely large and with a decidedly pink carpet. At its centre there is a water feature - a marble ball with water flowing down its sides. The lighting in the area is bright and there is a hustle bustle of customers. A long reception desk sits at the left hand side of the lobby - a television screen above the lobby desk displays train times. On the right there is a bar area with cream round-backed leather couches around glass coffee tables. Large windows at the front of the reception overlook the train station's car park.
This is a hotel for those who require a very close proximity to the train station. With 20 meeting rooms it is likely to be popular amongst businesses. Tourists may find the hotel atmosphere too business-based and may wish to be located closer to the very centre of the city.
