Carlit Hesperia Hotel, Barcelona is located at the heart of Eixample, on the way to the area of Arc de Triomf. It is a classic 3 star hotel with helpful staff and affordable rates.

Its lobby area is large and open. The marble floors are white and striped with terracotta. There is a large white pillar at the centre of the space that stops it being too vast. The front desk sits quietly at the corner of the room. A small door leads to a bar area at the back of the hotel.

Hotel Facilities:

There is no pool or gym in the hotel. Buffet breakfast is available for 11.50 euros per person. It is served from 07:00 -11:00 all week.

There is a bar located next to the lobby. It is open from 07:30 – 22:30.

Carlit Hesperia Hotel, Barcelona is located approximately 15 minutes from the very heart of the city centre. Passeig de Gracia is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. This street is the home of popular shops, bars and restaurants. A very popular option is Tapas, 24. This basement restaurant hides a gem that is a constant hive of activity. It is a traditional tapas style restaurant, serving all the old favourites at canteen style seating. What gives it the edge is that its owner is also the owner of Comerc 24, Barcelona’s world famous experimental restaurant. He adds a touch of this style to the tapas bar, with truffle oil in the sandwiches and a special take on ‘Patatas Bravas’.

The hotel’s closest metro stop is Tetuan – a 5 minute walk from the hotel. This allows the rest of the city to be in relatively easy reach of the hotel.

The hotel is also a 15 minute walk from the area of Arc de Triomf. This area is the home of the famous Arc de Triomf monument. It also leads into the area of El Born – a part of Barcelona’s old town. This area is known for its narrow streets and old buildings. It is the home of many small bars and boutique shops.

How to Travel from the Airport to the Hotel:

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 – 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia in 25 minutes. You can either use the T10 transport ticket from the airport (T10 costs 7.70 euros for 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport) or you can buy a single fare ticket for 2.80 euros. From here take the metro on the Purple Line from Passeig de Gracia to Tetuan, from the metro station the hotel is a 5 minute walk. Alternatively a taxi from Passeig de Gracia will take 5 minutes and cost around 10 euros.

Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus' to Plaza Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. A single will cost 4.25 euros. Take the metro from Catalunya to Passeig de Gracia on the Green Line and change onto the Purple Line to Tetuan. From the metro station the hotel is a 5 minute walk.
