Review Catalonia Berna Hotel Barcelona
Catalonia Berna Hotel is a large building, occupying a wide street corner in the heart of Eixample. From the exterior the hotel has an old charm – faded and flaking Roman style paintings adorn the walls. They sit awkwardly alongside the modern hotel entrance door. The hotel’s lobby is large and round. Rotating doors lead to a ramp way that carries customers to the front desk. There is a lounge area to the right of the door where soft chairs in pinks and browns provide a welcoming resting place. The soft lines of the area continue with a semi-circle front desk. Large windows and high ceilings ensure that the area is light and airy.
The hotel is situated reasonably centrally whilst maintaining a peaceful air in a quiet and leafy area. Local areas such as Passeig de Gracia and Plaza Catalunya are a 10 minute walk from the hotel. It is a popular destination for business people, with extensive meeting rooms. However, it is also worth considering as accommodation for tourists, due to its location at the heart of Barcelona.
