Confortel Auditori Hotel is a 3 star hotel located close to Arc de Triomf, in the east of Barcelona. It is situated in a largely residential area and over half an hours walk from the heart of the heart of the city centre. The hotel is large and modern. It sits on a street corner and has large windows. On entering the lobby area a mezzanine area containing the hotel’s breakfast area hangs above the front desk. Steps lead to the front desk. There is a bar to the left hand side of the stairs with plasma screen showing MTV, black swivel chairs and glass tables. There is a quieter seating area to the right of the stairs, with low cushioned seating.

The hotel has a modern style and uses bright colours to add some character to its furnishings. It will not appeal to tourists who wish to be in the city centre. However, its location close to Arc de Triomf offers its own places of interest. The Arc de Triomf is an impressive stone structure and it sits in front of one of Barcelona’s best parks – Parc de la Ciutadella.

Hotel Facilities:

There is an outdoor pool on the 6th floor roof of the hotel. It is unheated and is only open in the summer months. There is also a gym in the basement of the hotel. This is open 24 hours. It offers weights and running machines.

There is no restaurant. However, buffet breakfast costs 13 euros and is served from 07:00 – 10:30. There is a bar in the lobby area of the hotel. It is open from 07:00 – 20:00.

Room service is not available. However, there are Telepizza delivery menus in the rooms.

No pets are allowed in the hotel.

Check-in time is at 14:00 and check-out time is at 12:00.

Barcelona Nord Bus Station

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Barcelona Nord bus station. This is very convenient for people flying into Girona Airport. The buses that leave from Girona airport terminate at this station. This is also an appealing option for those who may wish to make day trips out of the city to areas such as Girona, which is not simply an airport town but a popular tourist destination in its own right.

The hotel is located a 5 – 10 minute walk from Arc de Triomf. This monument is similar to the famous one in Paris. It sits at the top of the Parc de la Ciutadella. This is one of Barcelona’s most picturesque parks. It contains a small lake with rowing boats, numerous palm trees to find shade under and various sculptures dotted around the space.

The Arc de Triomf also acts as a sort of gateway into the area of El Born. This is perhaps the most affluent part of Barcelona’s old town and is full to the brim with attractive bars, restaurants and small galleries.

How to Travel from the Airport to the Hotel:

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 – 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia in 25 minutes. You can either use the T10 transport ticket from the airport (T10 costs 7.70 euros for 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport) or you can buy a single fare ticket for 2.80 euros. From Passeig de Gracia take the metro to Plaça Tetuán on the Purple Line. From the metro station the hotel is a 10 minute walk. Alternatively, if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi ride would take about 10 minutes and cost around 8 - 10 euros.

Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus' to Plaza Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. From Plaza Catalunya take Line 1 on the metro to Arc de Triomf, from the metro station the hotel is a 5 minute walk.
