On entering Constanza Hotel, Barcelona I had thought it was a 4 star. It came as a pleasant and impressive surprise to find out that the hotel is a 2 star. It is in a central location at the heart of the affluent area of Eixample.
It has a lot more to offer than your average 2 star hotel - including a restaurant, discount rates for a nearby gym, free internet and suite rooms. The hotel lobby is large and long. Its walls are lined with modern and creative photographic prints. Cream leather couches line one wall and sit on top of luscious furry mocha coloured rugs. Low glass coffee tables offer international press and magazines. Low lighting provides a relaxing feel to the space.
There is no pool or gym in the hotel. However, the hotel have an agreement with Holmes Place gym, 2 minutes walk from the building. A day pass can be purchased from the hotel for a reduced price of approximately €10.00 per day.
