Flor Parks Hotel is seated proudly at the centre of the Ramblas. It is a basic hotel, but it offers a bright and comfortable space. Its lobby has sand coloured marble flooring and a wooden front desk area, giving the room a sense of space and light. It is adjoined by a restaurant with large front windows, allowing guests to take in the sights and the action taking place on the street outside.

Choosing to stay in a hotel directly on the Ramblas means that you will be in a very central location. However, it is worth noting that the street is a non-stop, 24 hour destination for both locals and tourists. For those looking for a relaxing city break it may be worth checking somewhere slightly further from the heart of the city. Others, though, may see a hotel right at the centre of the Ramblas as the ultimate destination.

Hotel Facilities:

Flor Parks Hotel does not have a pool or gym. It has a bar and restaurant adjacent to it, with an entrance directly from the hotel lobby. Café Lirica offers all meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner.  A continental buffet breakfast is on offer for 10 euros. At lunchtime there is a typically Spanish a la carte menu on offer. There is also a ‘Menu del Dia’ - a set menu of three courses plus bread and wine charged separately. There is also the ‘Tourist’ option of paella and a glass of wine .

The hotel offers a small area where there are sofas for guests to sit and a television.

Pets are not allowed in the hotel.

There are no meeting or conference rooms in the hotel. However, there is Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and access is charged  by the hour.There is also one computer available in the hotel with internet access, free of charge.

There are no rooms that have been adapted for wheelchair use.

Rooms:

There are a total of 26 rooms in the hotel, over 4 floors. Rooms are either Single, Double, Twins or Triple (there is only one triple room). The Twin rooms provide views of the Ramblas and have balconies. The Double rooms are on the interior of the hotel.

The windows are double-glazed. However, the hotel is located directly on the Ramblas, where there is likely to be a lot of noise at night. Those who are hoping for a peaceful night’s sleep should request an interior room.

Smoking is permitted in the rooms on the first floor of the hotel. Al other areas and rooms in the hotel are non-smoking. Check-in time at the hotel is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00.

All rooms provide a television, a telephone, a mini-bar, a safe and a hairdryer. Some rooms also offer a hydro-massage bath.

There is no option for short stay rooms in the hotel.

Flor Parks Hotel is located right on the Ramblas. This opens up a world of touristic possibilities. The Ramblas itself is a place that is full of things to do. The action never stops, with street performers, art stalls and human statues lining the street. It is worth remembering that it is very important to be careful with your belongings on the Ramblas as pick-pockets are known to operate in the area.

Here, aside from all of the tourist attractions, it will also be possible to find many necessary amenities. These include banks, cash machines, internet cafés, pharmacies and a large supermarket.

The Town Hall

The hotel is also locted very close to Calle Ferran. This is a wide street that leads from the Ramblas to the Plaza Sant Jaume, where the Barcelona Town Hall and Government buildings can be found. It is a beautiful street with old buildings dotted along it and ornate street lamps.

Conesa Sandwich Shop

Aside from the important government buildings, and perhaps even more importantly, Plaza Sant Jaume is home to one of Barcelona’s greatest sandwich shops! Little known to tourists and with a plain exterior, this shop always has a queue due to its popular hot sandwiches. Conesa offers treats such as sausage or cheese and bacon sandwiches and small pizzas. Most items cost around 3 euros. It’s definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a quick, delicious and affordable lunch.

How to Travel from the Airport to the Hotel:

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 – 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and
will take you to Passeig de Gracia in 25 minutes. You can either use the
T10 transport ticket from the airport (T10 costs 7.70 euros for 10
separate journeys on Barcelona public transport) or you can buy a single
fare ticket for 2.80 euros. You then change at Passeig de Gracia onto
the Green Line metro and travel two stops to Liceu. Your hotel is
then a few minutes walk from the metro.

Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus ' to Plaza de Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10- 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Plaza de Catalunya.
