The hotel also looks onto El Corte Inglés. This is a department store that is well known throughout Spain. It sells everything from clothes to food to perfumes to children's toys.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from both Passeig de Gràcia and Rambla Catalunya. Passeig de Gràcia is one of Barcelona's most picturesque streets - it is dotted with old buildings and lined with wrought iron floral street lamps. It is well known for being a popular shopping street, with everything from Zara to Prada on offer. It is also the home of beautiful buildings such as Gaudí's La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
Rambla de Catalunya is a part pedestrianized street that offers bars and restaurants with terraces. These are a good place to sit and enjoy a sunny afternoon with a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or a 'Menu del Dia' (a set menu that is enjoyed at lunchtime in most Spanish restaurants).
Off Plaza Catalunya is the Ramblas - Barcelona's famous street that is full of tourists and street entertainers. It is also a convenient place to find amenities such as internet cafés, bureaus de change, supermarkets and pharmacies.

Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gràcia in 25 minutes. From here take the metro from Passeig de Gràcia on the Yellow Line to Urquinaona, from the metro station the hotel is a 1 minute walk. Alternatively, if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will take 5 minutes and cost around €5.00 - €6.00.
Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus' to Plaza Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. A single will cost €5.90 . The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Plaza Catalunya.
