The 4 star Hesperia del Mar hotel is new establishment just off the main street near the beach, and prides itself on being a good option for both business people and tourists. The hotel is comfortable and the reception staff make you feel welcome the moment you set foot inside the door. Otherwise the Hesperia del Mar has 3 meeting rooms with free Wi-Fi connection and projectors. The rooms can hold up to 40 people. RoomsAgain there is nothing fancy about the 78 rooms in Hesperia del Mar. They are comfortable, modern and some, including the 6 suites, have sea views. The décor is simple, blues and light wood, quite elegant and stylish although very hotel-like. The bathrooms all have a small bath and shower and are made, like the lobby, in marble and light wood. How to travel from the airport to the hotelVia Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage. Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every
half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia , in about 20
mins and costs 2.60 Euros for a single ticket. You then have to
change here for the Yellow Line Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the
Airport to Catalunya station and costs 4.05 Euros. The journey time
is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you will need to change for the Green line metro to Passeig de Gracia You then have to
change here for the Yellow Line Reservations

frills hotel. The lobby has a lounge, decorated in light wood and
marble, with newspapers and glass cabinets full of items you can
buy if you need a last minute present to take home with you. There
is a restaurant, the Noray, that will serve you a good Mediterranean
buffet at dinner and breakfast. Otherwise you can have a drink in
the hotel’s café terrace which backs onto a nice enclosed
park. The hotel also has underground parking and disabled access.
The
best point of the hotel is that it is just 2 minutes walk across
the road to the beach, which makes it a popular place for families
because you are off the main road so the hotel is very quiet. There
is a pharmacy should you need any last minute medication just next
to it. Stroll along the main road parallel to the beach and you
will find cafes and a Chinese restaurant. Go the other way up the
road away from the beach and there are newsagents and a mini-market.
The nearest metro is Poblenou, a 10 minute walk away. The metro
will take you into town in 20 minutes, or you could get off at Ciutadella
villa olympica, the Olympic village and have a bite to eat on the
beach, or a dance in one of the late night clubs. Or you may just
want to have a wander through Poblenou which is the setting for the
famous Pepe Carvalho detective series. Diagonal Mar a large shopping
complex which also has restaurants is a 15 minute walk.
Metro to Selva Del Mar and the hotel is a
short 10 minute walk from the metro.
