When people stay at the Hotel Hilton Barcelona they are essentially buying a brand name and the assurance of quality that goes with it. This Hilton hotel will not let you down. It's the little details that matter: the way there is such a large covered driveway down to the taxi rank just in case it rains. The doormen are smart, the reception staff charming, the décor modern and expensive-looking, and the colour scheme made up of neutrals with splashes of red. The Hilton is quality and stands in the middle of one of Barcelona's main financial districts.

You can be assured that the Hotel Hilton Barcelona do not skimp on facilities. There is a gym, though no pool. The hotel offers a luggage storage service, a laundry service and a currency exchange. In the lobby area there is a gift shop and a convenience store in case you left your toothbrush at home. The Hilton has a bar in the lobby which goes out to a small but beautiful Ibiza-inspired terrace. There is also a Bistro for light meals and the new and increasingly popular Mosaic restaurant which does a great Sunday brunch apparently. Kosher food is also available, even with the 24 hour rooms service. The hotel can also arrange transfers to and from the airport.

There are more than a few meeting rooms, the largest of which has a floor space of 7,146 square feet. The rooms can be hired out for any occasion but if you want them for business then there are also several services you can employ. The Hilton Hotel offers a secretarial service, video conferencing, and the hire of audiovisual equipment. You can also rent a mobile phone for the duration of your stay and there is an express mail service straight from the hotel.

There are 287 standard rooms in the hotel, all decorated in the same modern, unobtrusive way. The rooms have large windows designed to let in as much natural light as possible. The views aren't picturesque, you will either get Diagonal or just the surrounding office blocks. However the rooms are comfortable and come with the usual: Air-conditioning/ heating, in house movies, a minibar and PC connections. A safe box is available at reception. There is also a hairdryer in the bathrooms.

The Hotel Hilton Barcelona is located in Les Corts which is one of Barcelona's main business districts. However it is an area which is also quite residential and so there are many good facilities. A 2 minute walk down the road there is the L'Illa complex which has a good variety of shops, restaurants and a large supermarket. 2 Minutes the other way and you can have a coffee in Starbucks. Cash points are easy to find, the closest is in L'Illa. The Metro stop Maria Cristina is 10 minutes away, and the metro will take you into the centre of Barcelona, Las Ramblas, in about 15-20 minutes.

Public transport transfer options
Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around €25.00 - €30.00 depending on traffic and luggage.
Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Barcelona Sants (Estacio de Sants), in about 25 minutes and costs €3.80 for a single ticket. From here you need to change onto the Green line 
metro and get off at Maria Cristina. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the station.
Via Bus: You could take the Aerobus cost €5.75 from the Airport and get off at Plaça Espanya from here catch the green line metro to Barcelona Sants (Estacio de Sants). From here you need to change onto the Green line metro and get off at Maria Cristina. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the station

The doorman told me that the Hotel Hilton Barcelona was mostly used by business travelers but it would be perfectly good for those on holiday who want to be out of the centre of town but not necessarily away from all the action. The Hilton is always going to be a good-quality choice.
