The Hotel Aragon Barcelona is situated on the road of the same name (Aragon is the same as Aragó), in a residential area quite far from the town centre but near to various sights of interest such as Gaudi's Sagrada Familia and the business district marked out by the Gherkin-shaped Agbar tower.

There is a hotel restaurant which is open for lunch and dinner and has a set menu for €15.00. Behind the reception you will find a funky, modern café/ bar. The hotel has its own on-site car park for guests and there is a post box in the lobby. The reception can help you with the hiring of a car or any tours you might like to go on.

The 160 rooms in the Hotel Aragon were recently renovated in 1999. Now they offer guests an interactive satellite TV with pay per view and Canal +, a direct phone line and a safe. All rooms have heating and air-conditioning and all the bathrooms have a hairdryer.

The hotel Aragon Barcelona has an out of town location in a residential part of Barcelona. The metro stop Encants however is quite nearby and will take you into the centre of town in 10 - 15 minutes. As the area in which the hotel is located is mainly residential you don't have to walk too far to find any 
facilities, there are local cafes all over, and walk down Aragon for a bit and you will find a bank. The hotel has the attraction of being close to the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's breathtaking basilica. Also close to the hotel is the Tan Glories shopping complex which is full of shops, cafes and restaurants. Near here you will also find Barcelona's biggest flea market, Les Encants, which is a fantastic place for a bit of haggling on a Saturday afternoon, just make sure you don't get too carried away!

Public transport transfer options
Via Taxi A taxi from the airport will take about 25 minutes and cost around €25.00 - €30.00 depending on traffic and luggage.
Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia station in about 25 minutes and costs €3.60 for a single ticket. You then have to change here for the purple line 2 and get off at Encants. Your hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the metro.
Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Placa Catalunya and costs €5.30. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you need to take the green line metro to Passeig de Gracia and then change for the purple line metro for Encants. Your hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the metro.
