The Hotel Benidorm Barcelona is in fact classed as a Hostal which is equivelent to a guest house. Click here for a full definition of the differences between a hotel, hostal and pension. However for some reason many site visitors refer to it as Hotel Benidorm so for the purposes of this article I will call it hotel Benidorm!
It is a clean and basic hostal on Barcelona's most famous street - Las Ramblas Perfect for back-packers and those traveling on a budget.

The Hotel Benidorm Barcelona charges €2.00 to store your luggage. The doors are open 24 hours a day so you care free to come and go as you like and enjoy the fact that Barcelona never sleeps. There is a simple seating area in the lobby as well as a coffee/ water machine.

The hotel has 45 rooms of varying sizes and capacities. The rooms have been recently renovated and come with a bathroom, TV, telephone, and heating. The hostal also provides towels.
Hotel Location and Facilities
Drassanes is the nearest metro stop which is 2 minutes away. Next to the hotel Benidorm is a pizza restaurant though being on Las Ramblas means that you have every sort of food at your finger tips. However if you rather buy your own food there is a Spar and several mini-markets just round the corner of Nou de Las Ramblas. Easy Internet café is a few blocks down from the hostal, next to a club called Fellini. I'm afraid you will have to get used to the noise staying at such a central hostal. For a cash machine cross Las Ramblas, and next door to it is a pharmacy. Placa Catalunya is less than a 10 minute walk up Las Ramblas.

Public transport transfer options
Via Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around €25.00 - €30.00 depending on traffic and luggage.
Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia station, in about 25 minutes and costs €3.60 for a single ticket. You then have to take the green line 
metro from Passeig de Gracia to Drassanes station and the Hostal is 3 minutes walk from the metro stop.
Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Placa de Catalunya and costs €5.30. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you need to catch the Green line metro to Drassanes and the hostal is only 3 minutes walk from the metro stop.
In a Nutshell
The hotel Benidorm offer good accommodation, with en-suite bathrooms and a very central location. Remember this property is infact classes as a Hostal and is good for travelers, but being on the Ramblas not good for those wanting an early night!
