Hotel Front Maritim Barcelona
The Hotel Front Maritim is one of the several, modern beachfront hotels in the recently built Forum area of Barcelona. This hotel has been well-designed and its dark wood décor has a hint of the orient. The hotel is right near the beach but it also has good business facilities making it perfect for both families and those traveling to Barcelona on business.
Hotel Facilities
The large lobby area has been separated by means of large dark wooden partitions, there is a lounge with 2 computers hooked up to the internet. A café/ bar which has a TV at one end and a restaurant. Downstairs there is a further lounge area. The hotel has its own parking facilities and offers a large variety of international press. The hotel also offers a small gymnasium with a sauna and steam room.
Business Facilities
Along with its business corner in the lobby, the hotel offers 5 multiple-purpose function rooms. The rooms have a capacity of 120 people and all have high ceilings and natural light. As for equipment, they all have high speed internet connection and all types of business facilities from translations to photocopying to computer equipment rental.
Rooms
The hotel front Maritim has 177 rooms most of which have a great deal of natural light and all of which are quiet. If you get a room at the top of the hotel you may be lucky enough to have a sea view. There are rooms for the disabled and for non-smokers.
All the rooms feature air-conditioning and heating, a direct phone line, TV with over 20 satellite channels, internet connection, and the bathroom has a telephone and a hairdryer.
 Hotel Location and Facilities
Next to the hotel Front Maritim is a bank and just opposite is a children’s playground. However the big draw of this area and indeed this hotel is the beach which is just over the  road some 2 minutes away. The Forum area is very modern and for the most part the district is full of hotels, apartments and offices. The Diagonal Mar shopping centre is not too far away and has a huge range of facilities from a supermarket to cafes. Closer to home there is a pharmacy round the corner on the way to the metro, and other cafes and banks of Passeig Taulat which is the road behind the hotel. The metro is a short walk away and you can get into the centre of Barcelona in 15 minutes.
How to travel from the airport to the hotel
Via Taxi A taxi from the airport should take
about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic
and luggage.
Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every
half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia, in about 20
mins and costs 2.80 Euros for a single ticket. You then have to
change here for the Yellow Line  Metro to Selva Del Mar and the hotel is a
short 7 minute walk from the metro.
Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the
Airport to Placa de Catalunya station and costs 4.25 Euros. The journey time
is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you then have to
change here for the Green Line Metro to Passeig de Gracia and then change onto the yellow line metro. Your nearest
metro stop is Selva Del Mar and the hotel is a
short 7 minute walk from the metro
