However it is located on a narrow pedestrian street in the Gothic Quarter just 2 minutes away from the hub of Las Ramblas, and 5 minutes away from the beautiful Placa Reial which is a centre of Barcelona nightlife with its many restaurants, cafes and bars.

The hotel Ingles is located on a narrow, busy street in the Gothic Quarter, just seconds away from Las Ramblas and Calle Ferran which is a main road full of bars, shops and cafes.
Next to the hotel is a café with free internet, and just 2 buildings down is the Travel Bar, a famous meeting place for international travelers. There is a bank on the corner as you go towards Las Ramblas, where you will also find most other things you could need, like Pharmacies and newsstands.
The nearest metro stop is on Las Ramblas and is called Liceu. Calle Boqueria is also the main street for wholesalers in case you are in Barcelona on a serious shopping trip!
How to travel from the airport to the hotel
Via Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.
Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia station, in about 25 mins and costs 2.60 Euros for a single ticket. You then have to change here for the Green Line  Metro to Liceu. The hotel is a short 3 minute walk from the metro.
Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs 3.90 Euros. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you need take the Green Line Metro to Liceu which is only one stop up. The hotel is a short 3 minute walk from the metro. If you decide to walk from Catalunya station you have a 10 min walk to the hotel.
