The hotel was opened in 2000 and is a bright, airy, plant-filled modern hotel which has a striking Barcelona-inspired mosaic in the lobby and provides comfortable accommodation for tourists and business travelers. How to travel from the airport to the hotelVia Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage. Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia station, in about 25 mins and costs 2.60 Euros for a single ticket. You then have a 15 minute walk to the hotel. Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs 3.90 Euros. The journey time is around 30 minutes. Via Laietana is a main road in Barcelona which cuts from Urquinaona, where there is a metro stop, down to the port. The road has a good range of facilities from banks to cafes all within walking distance. In fact there is bank right on the next corner down from the hotel and a pharmacy a bit further down. You are also opposite a library and very close to the stunningly beautiful Palau de la Musica where there are usually concerts and performances. If you walk down Via Laietana you will come to the Gothic Quarter on your right, with its impressive cathedral, and then the trendy district of El Borne on your left. Las Ramblas are a 15 minute walk away.
