One of the main advantages of the Hotel Sagrada Familia Barcelona is its proximity to one of Barcelona’s main attractions: Gaudi´s bold, intricate and unfinished basilica Sagrada Familia.  The Hotel Sagrada Familia was opened in this quiet, residential part of Eixample in 2004 and provides comfortable, well-priced accommodation to tourists and business people.

Behind the lobby you will find a small, casual library with a range of books and a couple of computers linked to the internet.  There is also a small courtyard where you can relax with your book of choice.   The hotel has a rooftop terrace where you can have a look over the city and the Sagrada Familia.  There is a small café/ bar as well.

Hotel Location and Facilities

The fact that the hotel is so close to the Sagrada Familia is a bonus.  The area in which the hotel is located is a residential area.  Therefore you are surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants to pick and choose from.  There is a pharmacy right opposite the hotel and if you turn right out of the hotel, at the crossroads there is a bakery and a bank.  The metro stop Sagrada Familia is at the most a 5 minute walk away and the centre of the city, if you want to see more Gaudi, is two stops away, though you could walk in about 20 minutes.

How to travel from the airport to the hotel

Via Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Barcelona Sants (Estacio de Sants) station, in about 20 mins and costs 2.80 Euros for a single ticket. You then have to purchase a metro ticket - the T10 ticket if you want value for money, and change for the blue line metro to Sagrada Familia and your hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the metro.

Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs 4.25 Euros. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya take the Green Line Metro to Diagonal then change again at Diagonal for the blue line metro to the Sagrada Familia and your hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the metro.
