You will find the modern Hotel Silken Concordia on Parallel, a 15 minute walk to the centre of town.  The area is popular with business people thanks to its proximity to the event halls of Fira Barcelona, however this modern hotel, opened in 2004 caters for both tourists and business people alike.

The hotel Silken Concordia Barcelona is located on the busy thoroughfare Parallel which means that you are surrounded by all the amenities you might need on your stay.  Outside the hotel is a news stand, and next to the hotel is a cash machine.  Diagonally opposite, across the road there is a pharmacy at number 124, and a post office next door.  Parallel is lined with cafes with outdoor terraces, all sorts of restaurants and bars.  Also if you need any snacks to keep you going then there is a mini-market 2 shops up from the pharmacy.  The metro stop Poble Sec is just across the road, and it is 2 stops to Las Ramblas. However you could also walk in about 20 minutes.  At the other end Parallel opens up into Placa Espanya where you can enjoy the art museums and the Magic Fountain.

How to travel from the airport to the hotel

Via Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Barcelona Sants (Estacio de Sants) in about 25 mins. You can either use the T10 transport ticket from the airport (T10 costs 7.70 euros for 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport) or you can buy a single
fare ticket for 2.80 euros. Once at Sants station change for the Green line Metro and get off at Poble Sec . The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the metro stop.

Via Bus You could take the Aerobus cost 4.25 Euros from the Airport and get off at Placa Espanya from here take the Green line metro from Espanya to Poble Sec (one stop) and the hotel is right outside the metro.
