This basic, reasonably priced hotel benefits from a great location in the Gothic Quarter, 2 minutes from Barcelona Cathedral, 5 minutes from the fashionable El Born area and 10 minutes from Las Ramblas.

Hotel Facilities

The hotel provides comfortable and basic accommodation.  There is a small lounge with a TV, and a café/ snack bar in the lobby area.  Parking is available close to the hotel.  There is a currency exchange and dogs are also allowed in the hotel if you happen to be traveling with pets.


Business Facilities

While the hotel is central and therefore near to Barcelona’s business districts, the hotel itself has no business facilities.


Rooms

The Hotel Suizo has 60 rooms.  The hotel is very central and therefore be prepared for some noise, especially if your room faces out the front of the hotel.  The rooms all feature a telephone, heating/ air-conditioning, a TV, minibar, safe and a hairdryer.  There are rooms for the disabled.


Area near Hotel SuizoHotel Location

The best thing about this hotel is undoubtedly its location in a small placa in the Gothic Quarter.  There is a bakery right next to the hotel and just in front of it is a café. 

There are also several tapas places surrounding the hotel.  Turn right up Calle The square outside Hotel Suizo BarcelonaFerran and there is a pharmacy as well as shops and more cafes.  This is also the quickest route to Las Ramblas and you get to wander through Placa Sant Jaume with it’s imposing government buildings.  Just left of the hotel on the placa is a bank and in front of the hotel is the metro stop Jaume 1 which is one stop from Barceloneta and the beaches.


How to travel from the airport to the hotel

Via Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia station, in about 25 mins and costs 2.80 Euros for a single ticket. You then have to change here for the Yellow Line metroMetro to Jaume I and your hotel is outside the metro stop.

Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs 4.25 Euros. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you need to take the Green Line metroMetro to Passeig de Gracia and then change again for the Yellow line for Jaume I and your hotel is outside the metro stop.
