Le Meridien
hotel Barcelona is on the Famous
Ramblas in the very heart of Barcelona city centre. The big
advantage of staying at Le Meridien hotel is its location. As soon
as you walk out of the hotel door you are right in the middle of
where all the action is. You have Placa
de Catalunya only a few minutes walk away with some fabulous
shopping all around that area. Placa de Catalunya has the best transport
links in Barcelona. It's served by both the Red
and Green metro lines, RENFE
trains (for the Airport and for trips outside Barcelona) the
Aerobus (the express
airport bus service).
Surrounding
Area around Le Meridien Hotel Barcelona
 You
will have 3 different types of view depending on which street your
room overlooks. The first is of the Ramblas. The rooms overlooking
the Ramblas will be subject to some noise as this is the busiest
pedestrianized walkway in Barcelona. One advantage of the Ramblas
though is it does not have a lot of traffic whizzing up and down
as the roads on either side of the Ramblas are very small. Le Meridien
is fitted with double glazed windows to help reduce noise from the
street.
This side of the Meridien hotel Barcelona is the quietest as it's
away from the Ramblas. But as you can see from this photo there's
not a lot to see on this street and your room will have less natural
light than on the other two sides of the building. It depends whether
you want a quieter room or a better view. If you don't mind a little
street noise then a room overlooking the Ramblas may be more suitable
for you.
