|Reservation information for the Medicis Hotel|
The hotel's lobby is simple and bright. The small front desk is on the left of the entrance and leaves the space open for large red couches, glass tables and modern artwork. For the hotel's low prices it is impressive that Wi-Fi is provided throughout the building at no extra cost to the customer.
Within one minute's walk of the hotel there is the Hospital de la Santa Creu I de Sant Pau - an architecturally interesting building that still functions as a hospital as well as a tourist attraction. The hotel is also a 5 - 10 minute walk from the famous Gaudí church - the Sagrada Familia.
There is no pool, gym or restaurant in the hotel. However there is an area where breakfast is served each morning.
There is no room service available. Pets are allowed to stay in the hotel.
There are no meeting or conference rooms in the hotel. However there is free Wi-Fi throughout the building that is available to all customers. There is also one computer in the lobby area with free internet access.
There are no rooms in the hotel that are adapted for wheelchair use.
There are a total of 29 rooms in the hotel over 6 floors. All rooms are single or twin. The rooms are not big enough to add any extra beds.
The rooms at the front of the building offer balconies and those on the higher floors have city views. However, the windows are not double-glazed and the building is positioned on a main road with a lot of traffic. Those hoping for a quiet nights sleep should request one of the interior rooms that overlook an inner courtyard.
On the 6th floor of the building there is one room that offers a 16 meter squared terrace area. This comes at no extra cost, so it is worth requesting it when booking your room.
Medicis Hotel is located in the area of Sagrada Familia. As the name suggests, the hotel is located a ten minute walk from the famous Sagrada Familia. For more information on the building please see our Guide to the Sagrada Familia by Antonio Gaudí.
|Hospital de la Santa Creu I de Sant Pau|
The hotel is also located one street along from the Hospital de la Santa Creu I de Sant Pau. This large and decorative stone building is in keeping to the surroundings as it has a Gaudí feel to it. However, the building was actually designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. It is a functioning hospital but it is still worth a visit as a tourist attraction.
It is also possible to catch a bus from outside the hotel (the bus number should be requested from hotel staff as these are subject to change) that will take you to the Park Güell (Gaudí Park) in less than 15 minutes.
The hotel's nearest Metro station, Hospital Sant Pau, is less than a five-minute walk from the hotel. This will ensure that all of Barcelona's attractions are within reach.
