The hotel lobby area comprises a lusciously thick maroon carpet leading to a slick black front desk. A door to the left leads to the hotel's restaurant and a door to the right leads to its bar - these add an appropriate level of bustle to the serene lobby area. Marbled grey floors, a transparent vase filled with floating rose petals and a spiral staircase with an ornate wrought iron banister all serve to add a touch of romance to the modernist surroundings.
Despite the hotel's luxurious furnishings and superior four-star rating, customers will need to make the journey to a sister hotel for amenities such as a pool, gym and spa. This may be an inconvenience, however, the sister hotel is Hotel Majestic - one of Barcelona's most renowned five star hotels, so it may well be worth the extra effort.
The hotel does not have its own pool, fitness centre or spa. However, customers of the hotel are provided with passes to the facilities at Murmuri's sister hotel - Hotel Majestic. Hotel Majestic is situated on Passeig de Gràcia, a ten-minute walk from the hotel. It offers a rooftop pool with solarium, as well as a fitness centre and spa.

The hotel restaurant is Asiatic Murmuri restaurant. It offers two different buffet breakfasts - continental and American. Lunch has a set menu ('Menu del Dia'), consisting of 3 courses plus a drink. The lunch and dinner menus are a fusion of Vietnamese and Thai.
The hotel bar is Marfil by Murmuri. It serves snack foods such as sushi and sandwiches.

Room area categorised as: Classic (the standard room), Superior (with a balcony and street views), Privilege (with a terrace - either covered or open), Junior Suite (a larger space) and Suite (60 metres squared). Those wishing for the quieter rooms should request one at the interior of the hotel.

Hotel Murmuri is located very centrally for those who wish to be at the heart of Barcelona's cosmopolitan lifestyle. It is based on Rambla de Catalunya - a pleasant street with a pedestrianized strip running up its centre. It is tree-lined, with many cafés, terraces, shops and restaurants. Just up the street from the hotel it is possible to find the world-renowned chocolatiers - Godiva.
A ten-minute walk down Rambla de Catalunya will bring you to Plaza Catalunya. This is one of Barcelona's largest squares. It is a busy central hub that sits at the top of the Ramblas. It has a large marble-floored square at its centre where it is possible to feed the birds and people-watch. The Ramblas is an area where it will be possible to find most necessary amenities - it provides internet cafés, banks, bureaus de change, pharmacies and supermarkets.
Those who plan on doing some serious shopping whilst they are in Barcelona will be pleased to find that Passeig de Gràcia is a two-minute walk from the hotel. This street is the home of most of the major designer flagship stores in Barcelona, including Zara, Burberry, Gucci and Prada. The street is also the home of two Gaudí buildings - Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. La Pedrera was built with a sea theme and includes a staircase that has the appearance of the inside of a seashell and an undulating roof that is open to the public, offering views of the city.

A shared minibus transfer option is cheaper than the private transfer. You would need to make your way to designated meeting point at the airport.
Private transfer (advanced reservation required)
With a private transfer service the driver will be waiting for you at your arrivals gate. He will have a board or a sign with your name on it so that you can easily identify him. The driver will help you with your bags to the vehicle and then drive you to your hotel.
Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around €25.00 - €30.00 .
Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gràcia in 25 minutes. You can either use the T10 transport ticket from the airport (T10 costs €9.95 for 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport) or you can buy a single fare ticket for €4.10 . The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the station. Alternatively you can catch the metro from Passeig de Gràcia to Diagonal on the Green Line, from here the hotel is a 2 minute walk.
Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus ' to Plaza Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. From here, take the Green Line on the metro to Diagonal, the hotel is 2 minutes walk from the metro station. Alternatively, the journey will take 5 minutes in a taxi from Plaza Catalunya and will cost about €5.00 - €8.00.
Murmuri Hotel offers a stylish space at the heart of glamorous and affluent Barcelona. Those hoping for major amenities may be inconvenienced by the lack of facilities on the premises. However, those who enjoy hotels with a focus on design will be wowed by the lavish interior and attention to detail in the furnishings.
