Park Hotel Barcelona would not look out of place on Miami's Ocean Drive. It is a tall art-deco style building with subtle shades of peach and turquoise. It sits directly opposite one of Barcelona's main train stations - Estacio de Franca and is close to both the beach and the Parc de la Ciutadella.
Park Hotel's lobby area is small but inviting. It sits next to the café at the front of the hotel. The front desk staff are friendly and there is a bustling atmosphere. On sunny days, the glass front doors allow light to stream into the room.
The hotel is located at the front of the El Born area - part of Barcelona's old town and, as yet, less touristy than areas such as the Gothic Quarter. It offers reasonably priced rooms in a stylish setting and could be a viable option for those looking for either a relaxing or a city break.

Queues form outside the bar at lunchtimes for one of the coveted spaces along the bar, where it is possible to view the chefs preparing the food. There is a menu, although customers are advised to trust the chef's suggestions and try whatever is put in front of them! The standards are high and so are the prices, although they are fair for the standard on offer.
The hotel is also located two minutes walk from the entrance to the beautiful park - Parc de la Ciutadella. This park is the home of Barcelona's city zoo. It also contains a lake for rowing boats, various statues and a fountain. It is a wonderfully relaxing space during all seasons.
The hotel is a 15 minute walk, along the harbour front, to the bottom of the Ramblas.
It is also a ten-minute walk from Barceloneta, where you will find Barcelona's most popular beach area. This is also a useful area to find necessary amenities such as supermarkets, internet cafés, banks and pharmacies.
