The Regente Hotel Barcelona is located on the crossroads of two of Barcelona’s most central and popular streets, Rambla de Catalunya which comes from Placa Catalunya and Calle Valencia. The building dates from 1913 and has had its stunning art nouveau façade completely restored. Hotel FacilitiesThe Regente hotel Barcelona has a bar in keeping with the art nouveau style. There is also an area where a buffet breakfast is served every morning. There is also a spacious sun terrace where you will find a swimming pool. The hotel has Wi-Fi throughout and there is parking available 50 yards from the hotel and a laundry service. Business FacilitiesThere are two meeting rooms in the Regente Hotel Barcelona , one which is 35 metres squared and the other 60 metres squared. RoomsThere are 79 rooms in the Regente which are all modern in design and have air-conditioning and heating, satellite TV, ADSL connection, telephone, minibar, and a safe. The rooms are simple, generic and some have their own outdoor terrace. Hotel Location and FacilitiesThere is a cash machine right opposite the hotel and a sandwich shop just a few shops up. There is a pharmacy just up in Placa Universitat and as for a supermarket I recommend Corte Ingles 5 minutes away in Placa Catalunya. The area in which the hotel is situated is busy and great for shopping. Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas are a 15 minute walk away although with all the tempting cafes and shops along the way it will probably take longer. Another street of interest is Passeig de Gracia which runs parallel to Rambla de Catalunya and has 2 of Gaudi´s creations on it, as well as a plethora of designer shops. The nearest metro is Passeig de Gracia which is a short walk away. How to travel from the airport to the hotelVia Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage. Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia station, in about 25 mins and costs 2.60 Euros for a single ticket. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the metro. Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs 4.05 Euros. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you need to change for the green line metro for Passeig de Gracia and your hotel is a 5 minute walk from the metro. Reservations
