Review: Hostal Opera offers an excellent location in the centre of Barcelona - This is a no frills hotel that is real value for money. If you're looking for a basic, clean comfortable room at an affordable price this is the hotel for you. No restaurant but with all the restaurants and bars on La Rambla on your doorstep what more can you ask for?

Very helpful staff. Directed me to the nearest English-speaking pharmacy when ill, and when we were disturbed by rowdy (English) passers-by at night we were immediately moved to a larger room away from the road, at no extra cost. The staff moved our untidy belongings while we were out,and everything was in the same place!
