Review of Hotel Nouvel Barcelona:

The people working at the hotel were terrific. We received a great welcome from reception. Even though we arrived at about 23:00, and the man on reception was about to go off duty, he still found the time to give us lots of information about the city including maps, and places to visit etc. However, the room was absolutely awful! I could not believe that one of your other reviewers stated how spacious the room and bathroom were. Ours definitely was not! It was very cramped, the bed was a small double! We are not large people, but are tall and the bed was inadequate! I could not believe that this hotel was rated 3* since in the room there were no facilities to speak of. Hence I do not think that it was worth the money. 3* hotels in England in popular places generally provide a lot more, I would say, for less money. However, in its favour, I would say that the hotel was very well placed for sight-seeing. That and the very pleasant staff managed to assuage some of our disappointment at the room provided. I did note that this room was a lot smaller than an adjacent room so would suggest to others not to go for a room at the far end of the corridor on each landing!
