The area in which the Rubens hotel is located is very hilly, though there are good bus connections and the metro is a 7 minute downhill walk away (from your hotel). The metro stop Vallcarca is 4 stops away from the centre of the city.

This part of Gràcia is quiet and residential, however there is a bank just down the hill and once you get to the metro, the whole of that street is full of local cafes, restaurants as well as pharmacies, newsagents and food markets. Parc Güell is close and is a main attraction in Barcelona, and downtown Gràcia also has some beautiful architecture.
