One of the restaurant's outstanding features, of which they are very proud, is the theatre/restaurant that is attached to the hotel - Aquarella. This space is in the basement of the building. This old-school concept allows people to dine whilst watching performances in the theatre. The hotel also offers a rooftop pool and Jacuzzi.
There is no fitness centre in the hotel. However. There is a pool on the terrace of the building. This is not heated and is open in the summer months (approximately June - October). There is also a small Jacuzzi on the roof terrace. There is also a bar on the roof terrace that is opened in the summer months.
The hotel's restaurant is contained within its theatre space. Here, buffet breakfast is available. The cuisine served for lunch and dinner is Mediterranean style. It is possible to eat with or without watching the show.
There is a small bar in the lobby area of the hotel. This is open all day.
No pets are allowed in the hotel.
There are no official meeting rooms in the hotel. However, the Aquarella theatre space is available to hire for functions and conferences. It holds 150 - 170 people. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the whole hotel for all guests. There are no computers in the hotel for guests' use.
There are 2 rooms in the hotel that have been adapted for disabled use. They have widened doors and special showers. There are lifts to all floors.
There are a total of 80 rooms in the hotel, over 7 floors. All rooms are either twins or doubles. However, the Junior Suites are slightly bigger and have a private terrace.
The rooms that are street facing have balconies. For those hoping for a quiet room, it is best to reserve one at the back of the building. However, the rooms at the front of the building have double-glazed windows.

Hotel Sunotel Central is located directly opposite a large cinema. It also has a theatre and dining space on its premises. It therefore has much entertainment in close proximity. It is also located within less than five minutes walk from one of Barcelona's most well-known and loved patisseries - Escriba.
Gran Via itself holds more treats than just the cake shop. It is the home of many interesting shops and restaurants. It is worth looking out for the traditional Spanish deli-style shops - not only do they have classic façades, they also offer many shopping options for foodies.
The hotel is a ten-minute walk from Plaza de Espanya. This square is home to some of Barcelona University's most important buildings. It is also the gateway to areas such as Plaça de Catalunya and the Ramblas.

Minibus shared transfer (advanced reservation required)
A shared minibus transfer option is cheaper than the private transfer. You would need to make your way to designated meeting point at the airport.
Private transfer (advanced reservation required)
With a private transfer service the driver will be waiting for you at your arrivals gate. He will have a board or a sign with your name on it so that you can easily identify him. The driver will help you with your bags to the vehicle and then drive you to your hotel.
Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around €25.00 - €30.00 .
Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gràcia in 25 minutes. You can either use the T10 transport ticket from the airport (T10 costs €9.95 for 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport) or you can buy a single fare ticket for €4.10 . You then change at Passeig de Gràcia onto the Purple Line metro and travel one stop to Universitat. Your hotel is then 5 minutes walk from the metro.
Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus' to Plaça de Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya. You can take a taxi from the train station if you have lots of luggage. This will take about 5 minutes and cost around €6.00. Alternatively you can take the Red Line from Plaça de Catalunya to Universitat where the hotel is just 1 block away along Gran Via Corts Catalanes.
Sunotel Central Barcelona is a hotel for those who enjoy the old-time romance of hotels. There is a cabaret style theatre in its basement and the décor is classic. It is located close to the tourist attractions, but not the beach.
