Vincci Condal Mar Hotel is, first and foremost, a business hotel. It is situated in the heart of a business district and has very little else of interest in the area. There are extensive business facilities within the building - please see below for further details.
It is an impressively large and looming structure from the outside - spherical and distinctive. With 14 floors, views from the top rooms and from the roof -top terrace are stunning - taking in the whole of Barcelona with both the sea and the city. The interior has a modern feel, with white leather seating, large furniture and marble floors.
The hotel is located close to the Forum - Barcelona's large conference and concert out door venue. This may be one of the main reasons why a tourist would choose this hotel location over one closer to the city centre. Aside from this, the beach is a fifteen minute walk away, through a slightly bleak and industrial area of Barcelona.

The hotel offers various facilities for business people and holidaymakers alike. There are two restaurants - one on the ground floor offering buffet style food for both breakfast and lunch. The restaurant at the top of the building is called Takenomori and serves Catalan cuisine, with an Asian influence.
In the lobby of the hotel there is a bar area with surrounding seating. The bar area is small and the seating runs throughout the lobby area of the hotel. Low, cushioned leather seats offer a comfortable place to sit. Standard Spanish snack food can also be ordered in this area, such as ham baguettes - prices are higher than they would be for the same food from an independent café, with sandwiches starting at around €7.00.
The hotel also has an outdoor pool on the roof -top of the building, as the building is fourteen stories high, this will allow swimmers a panoramic view of the city rivalled by few other buildings. The view should take in all of Barcelona, from the sea to montjuic and Tibidabo mountains, and everything in-between It is unheated and is open from May until the end of September, from 10:00 to 20:00.
There is also a fitness centre in the hotel that is available to all customers. This is located in the basement of the building, along with a sauna.

The hotel caters largely for businesses, as is clear from the facilities on offer. There is a meeting room that has a capacity of 250 people. This space can also be divided into five smaller areas. There are also a further four meeting rooms.

The hotel offers four rooms that have been adapted for disabled usage. They have widened doors and one -level showers. There are lifts to all floors.

With 14 floors, many of the room options are likely to provide stunning views. It is worth asking about this when booking the room.
The area in which the hotel is located is very quiet. Noise pollution in the rooms should, therefore, not be a problem.

Hotel Vincci Condal de Mar is located with business people in mind - at the heart of Barcelona's business and technology centre. This means that there is little else of interest in the area and general amenities will be hard to find.
However, it is worth noting that the hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Forum centre. This could be convenient if you are planning a trip to Barcelona for music festivals such as Primavera or Summercase. It is also well located for the week -long La Merce festival in September, as much of the free entertainment takes place at the Forum.
The hotel is also located around 15 -20 minutes walk from the beach, next to the Forum.
The closest Metro station - Selva de Mar, is five minutes walk away and this will provide opportunities to head into Barcelona city centre.

Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia station, in about 25 minutes and costs €3.60 for a single ticket. You then have to change here for the yellow Line 
Metro to Selva Del Mar and the hotel is a short 3 minute walk from the metro.
Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs €5.30. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you need to catch the green line metro to Passeig de Gracia. You then have to change here for the yellow Line Metro to Selva Del Mar and the hotel is a short 3 minute walk from the metro.
