The modern, glass-fronted Vincci Hotel Barcelona is located in Barcelona’s up and coming Diagonal Mar district which has the benefit of being very close to the beach.  This hotel is minimal and almost industrial in style and provides high-standard accommodation for tourists and business people.

Hotel Facilities

The hotel has a modern restaurant, Jardi de Mar, that has a set lunch menu of 15 euros and specializes in nouveau cuisine.  There is also a separate coffee corner.  Outside there is a Japanese style garden terrace which is a beautiful place to sit when the sun is shining.  The hotel also offers parking facilities to its guests.

Business Facilities

The 3 large meeting rooms can hold up to 300 people and have the facilities to provide any type of audiovisual material e.g. projectors, simultaneous translation.

There are 144 rooms in the hotel including 4 suites.  All the rooms are modern and stylish in keeping with the décor of the rest of the hotel.  The rooms all feature a safe, a minibar, internet connection, and satellite TV.  Guests get a choice of pillow and a paper is delivered to the room everyday. 

Hotel Location and Facilities

The Diagonal Mar/ Forum area where the hotel is located is extremely modern and doesn’t really feel like Barcelona at all!  However the area is well-connected by metro to the centre of the city (the journey takes about 15 minutes) and the big benefit of the area is the beach which is a short walk from the hotel.  There is also a modern-styled park right next to the hotel.  If you are looking for another restaurant then there are 2 just near the hotel and more if you carry on walking down towards the beach on Calle Selva de Mar.  There is a bank and a café on the next road down and a pharmacy almost on the beachfront.  The hotel is also within walking distance of the Diagonal Mar shopping complex which has copious shops, restaurants as well as a supermarket and other facilities.

How to travel from the airport to the hotel

Via Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia station, in about 25 mins and costs 2.60 Euros for a single ticket. You then have to change here for the yellow Line Metro to Selva Del Mar and the hotel is a short 3 minute walk from the metro.

Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs 4.05 Euros. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you need to catch the green line metro to Passeig de Gracia. You then have to change here for the yellow Line Metro to Selva Del Mar and the hotel is a short 3 minute walk from the metro.

The Vincci Hotel Barcelona is a well-presented modern hotel in this out of town district.  Very close to the beach so good for families and the area mostly residential and hotels so it is quiet.   The facilities mean it is also very suitable for business people.
