Barcelona is just as great, maybe even more so, when you’re are looking for a fun weekend break on a shoestring. On the subject of budget holidaying, it is also worth noting that many of Barcelona’s hotels have dramatically reduced their standard rates (rack rates) in the current economic climate. This may be the perfect opportunity to stay in a four or five star luxury hotel that would normally be out of reach. Typical savings are anything between 20 to 50% off normal rates.

Customers to the hotels can pay two – three star prices whilst enjoying the amenities of a nearby five star hotel.
