Summer is well and truly here in Barcelona. The sun is out and the streets and beaches are filled with happy holiday makers. Thankfully, this year you won't necessarily need to break the bank to make a trip to Barcelona. Spainbookers have just released hotel deals that are available from now until the end of August (read on below for full details).

Throughout the summer in Barcelona there are events taking place that could really enhance your trip. All over town you will find fiestas, shows and outdoor events that are on offer. For example, in August, the Fiesta de Gracia will be taking place - a street festival where the whole area is covered in different decorations down each local street.

Throughout the summer there is also an outdoor cinema on the hilltop of Montjuic, overlooking the whole city. A festival of arts and culture known as the Grec Festival also takes place in venues all over the city.

Each barrio of Barcelona has it's own sunny atmosphere and you will be able to find accommodation offers on Spainbookers depending on where you'd most like to stay. For example, if you fancy a stay in the chic and cosmopolitan area of El Born, you could stay in hotels such as Hotel Boria. If you are after a holiday of lounging on one on Barcelona's beaches , hotels such as Vincci Maritimo should be just what you're after.

Barcelona truly comes alive over the months of the summer. The parks are filled with music and happy strollers. Beaches are packed with sun worshippers, picnickers and groups of revellers. The city's streets are hazy and bustling as tourists make the most of Barcelona's culture and architecture. Whether you're after a week of lounging on the beach or a weekend of good food and culture, Barcelona is a great place to head this summer. Book some flights, grab the cheap accommodation whilst its still available and take a break in Barcelona. Hopefully see you here very soon!
