Q: We require to catch the Metro from the airport to Catalunya, do we need to change at Sants ? Do you know what the current fare is please ?

A: The Metro does not run to Barcelona airport however the RENFE train does. If you want to go to Catalunya station from the airport then you would catch the RENFE train from Barcelona airport and change at Passeig de Gracia station for the Green Line metro to Catalunya station which is the next stop up.

The cost of a single ticket is 2.80 euros to Passeig de Gracia station. You then need to purchase a Metro ticket, 1.35 euros and change at Passeig de Gracia to go on the Green line metro to Catalunya station. Alternatively you can use buy a T10 ticket that gives you 10 journeys on the Metro and is much more economical than buying single tickets. The T10 can also be used on the RENFE train from Barcelona Airport to Catalunya via Passeig do Gracia.

If you do not wish to make any changes on the train then you can catch the Aerobus service (express airport bus service) that takes you from Barcelona airport to Catalunya station. The cost for the Aerobus service is 4.25 euros to Terminal 2 and 5 euros to Terminal 1.
