Q: We will be stay in Barcelona 3 nights May 16-19 during which we wish to visit as much as possible of Barcelona Probably by public transport so we would like to stay in a hotel centrally located (3 or 4 star hotel) Which area do you reccomend we stay in Thank You.

A: You could stay anywhere in the city centre that is connected via a metro point. The metro serves most of the areas in Barcelona with tourist attractions. If however you want to be right in the middle of where all the action is then you would need to stay around La Rambla or Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter). This area also has some of the best transport connections in terms of buses, metro and train via Placa Catalunya station, which is at the top of La Rambla.
