Q: We arrive at the airport at 06:30 am We would like to find a hotel for the day to rest and store our luggage until we leave on our cruise at 19:00. Do any hotels have this arrangement?

A: Usually, this service is not the rule in Spanish hotels. It may be possible to rent a normal hotel room (be aware that the check-out time usually is only between 11:00 and 12:00, depending on the hotel) . You would in any case need to discuss if it is possible to rent part days directly with each hotel to see if they could arrange that for you.

A cheaper option would be to rent a room in a pension or hostel. However you will still have the check-in time problem as for the hotels.

I recommend it would be better for you to take a little time to discover this beautiful town, to find a bar when arriving to the city centre and have a good strong Spanish coffee before heading into the town centre to visit Barcelona before the cruise. You can also enter a bakery where quite often they also serve early breakfasts and have a toilet and sink if you need to freshen up.

There are two luggage storage facilities: one at the Barcelona Sants Estacio railway station, the other one at Barcelona Nord bus station. Barcelona Sants Station would be a good option if you are coming from the airport and going to the cruise port since the RENFE train from the airport runs directly to Barcelona Sants. Where to store luggage in Barcelona

At the Barcelona Sants train station you can easily take the  Metro: Sants Estacio (Green Line, L3), direction Canyelles, and step off at Metro: Drassanes (Green Line, L3) which is near the Cristopher Columbus statue from where the cruise shuttle bus (Blue bus) leaves to the cruise terminals.
