Q: Is it necessary to pre-book entry tickets to the Sagrada Familia or are tickets available at the site? We only have one day in Barcelona.

A:  The Sagrada Familia is giant Basicila designed by Antoni Gaudi. It is the no.1 most visted tourist attraction in Barcelona. There are often long queues to get into the attraction. Standing in a queue can be uncomfortable if you are waiting out in the hot Spanish midday sun therefore it is advisable to bring a parasol with you to protect yourself if you have an extended wait.

There are different ticket-selling services where you can purchase tickets for the Sagrada Familia.

One of these services is ServiCaixa, offered by Caixa Catalunya bank. You can pay with your credit card online and pick up the tickets at any La Caixa Catalunya office with an autobank. You must have the credit card you purchased the tickets with in order to pick up your tickets. You can pick up the tickets by entering your credit card in the Autobank and selecting the options to obtain your tickets. The machine will then issue the tickets for you.  You can buy your entrance tickets via the Internet or go personally to any Caixa Catalunya branch in town and purchase them there.
