Q: I´ve heard a lot about the Barcelona Card but what is it exactly?

A: The Barcelona Card is a combined transport and discount card that gives you free and unlimited transport on the Barcelona public transport system including Metro, TMB buses, FGC, Tram system and the RENFE train in Zone 1 areas. The Zone one area covers Barcelona city centre and accounts for where most of the tourist attractions are.

You purchase the Barcelona Card for the number of days you intend to use it.

You can also use the Barcelona Card on the RENFE train to and from Barcelona Airport to Barcelona city centre. You can also use it on the TMB airport bus. It is not valid on the Aerobus (Express airport bus).

The Barcelona Card does not give you free transport on specialist bus services e.g. the Barcelona Tourist Bus.

In addition the Barcelona Card offers you free or discounted entry into many museums and attractions.
