Tourist Attractions Within Walking Distance From Barcelona Cruise Port?

Q: Which tourist attractions would be within walking distance from the cruise port? I am a first time visitor and do not want to rent a car. Anything I shouldn't miss?

A: Remember to check at which cruise terminal you arrive as from the Moll Adossat we recommend to take the cruise shuttle bus that would take you to the Christopher Columbus monument at the foot of Las Ramblas. There you can start your visit of the town. Las Ramblas is worth a stroll around. Near the bus stop on the left hand side, you can find the Museu Maritim, the Ship Museum, located in a beautiful building. Walking up the Ramblas you will find the famous market La Boqueria, on the left hand side, the famous Placa Reial and the square Placa del Pi on the right hand side. A little further up you arrive to the Placa Sant Jaume, the Cathedral, and, not to forget, the Picasso Museum. Around the area of the old port, the Port Vell, you find the church Santa Maria del Mar, which is also worth a visit or the Park Ciutadella. In general the Gothic Quarter with its narrow streets and little shops is worth the walk. The Palau de la Musica is also near. You can end your long daily visit by foot at one of the terraces at Placa Catalunya and sip a good Spanish coffee.

We would also like to remind you that the cruise shuttle bus – the Blue Bus - has a stop very close to the metro which gives you the option to travel to almost every tourist spot in town all within about 20 minutes ride.
