Q:   How can I find the nearest Catholic church to my hotel so that I can  go to mass on the weekend?  (It does not need to be in English)

A: To find  any type of church in any location in Barcelona please visit the Barcelona Map webpage below. However before you do, make sure to read the following instructions.

The Barcelona map link below takes you to a webpage that gives you pop-up notice for an option to visit the new map. When you see this click the cancel button to clear the popup and stay with the old map. 

Once at the map page click on the right hand menu link that says "Places of worship". You can then select catholic churches then click the Apply button to go back to the main page. Then type in the name of your street on which your hotel is based and click the  Search button. You will now be shown all the Catholic churches in the area around your hotel. We recommend you zoom into the one that interests you most by clicking the Zoom in Button and note down the street it is on. Normally you can just click on the icon on the map for more information however with the Churches it appears they have not been translated to English and are only available in Catalan.
