Review Expo Hotel Barcelona
There is a conundrum with this Expo hotel Barcelona. To me it
appeared that this hotel is a bit past its prime, the façade
is a little shabby and the interior which was once so modern now
pales in comparison to some of the newer hotels in town. However
there must be some reason, when I visited, the lobby was completely
packed full of tourists. Obviously this hotel is still classed as
good value, comfortable and functional accommodation.
Hotel Facilities
The Expo hotel Barcelona is a large hotel and has good facilities.
These include a laundry service, a day care nursery on request,
a car park some 50 metres from the hotel. A foreign currency exchange
and a fax service. The hotel also has a swimming pool and roof terrace
which is open during the summer. If you would like to hire a car
or book a tour the hotel will be happy to help.
Business Facilities at the Expo Hotel
The Expo hotel has 7 function rooms. These can hold from 12 to
90 people, depending on their configuration. They can also be used
to form one large room to hold up to 1000 people in a cocktail setup.
The hotel can provide high-tech audiovisual equipment and specialized
staff should you need them.
Rooms
The rooms are plain and comfortable, all have been decorated using
a blue and ochre colour scheme. There are 435 rooms in all. All
have TV with satellite channels, air-conditioning and heating, a
desk, a marble bathrooms with hairdryer and toiletries, a small
terrace a minibar and a safe box. The views unfortunately are just
of the surrounding buildings and roads.

metro stop and the Barcelona Sants train Station. On the metro you
can get into the centre of town in 10 minutes and from the train
station you can catch direct trains to the airport or other out
